This morning we will be in Luke 18 looking at the Pharisee and the tax collector. The Pharisee was a self-righteous person who bragged to God on how good he was. Self-righteousness is always ugly. It says how good we are when we should always be saying how good God is. The tax collector wouldn’t look up but just cried “be merciful to me, a sinner”. He went home justified. Learn a lesson from this. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
