Good day to everyone and I pray that your day is a good one.

Our devotion is called, ” A prayer of the afflicted ” Psalm 102:1-2 says, Hear my prayer, O LORD, And let my cry come to You. Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble; Incline Your ear to me; In the day that I call, answer me speedily. It seems as though during the holiday season we go through more bad things happening than usual. It was right before the holidays that my dear brother pastor Mike Lewis went home to be with Jesus. We did not celebrate thanksgiving and Christmas that year but spent our days mourning. God brought us through and this psalm at the beginning is all about being afflicted and the second half of this psalm is about God coming to the rescue. No one knows who the author of this psalm is but whoever it is, they are going through a hard time. If you are going through the valley of the shadow of death, God will walk you through it and get you to the other side. He did it with my family and He loves us all the same. When we go through that valley, it might seem like God is far away but He is not, Hebrew 13:5. There was a song that came out right after my brother passed by 3rd day called, There’s a light at the end of this tunnel, and it is so true. Don’t ever give up or give in to despair, God loves us.
