Good morning from the great state of Texas.

Happy passion week. This is the week that Jesus paid it all and all to Him we owe.

Our devotion today is called, ” love hurts ” Hebrews 2:9 says, “But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. This would be the last week our Lord lived here on earth. His mission will just about be complete. He came to take back what was rightfully His, this earth and His people and He did it! In order to complete the work Jesus would suffer not only on the cross but throughout His life. Paul wrote in Philippians 3:10, that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death. As His children we are also called to suffer for doing what is right. Love hurts when we make a decision to do the right thing in the face of opposition. But like our Lord as He went into glory, the rewards are so great. If you’re going through hurt for doing what is right, just know that you are putting a smile on God’s face. Thank you Jesus for coming to earth and taking our sin, and being an example to follow after.
