When we decide that we will live our lives the way we want, and don’t turn to God for direction and guidance we end up with, “My will be done”. This is what happens in 2nd Samuel chapter 2 when two generals come together and have a contest with their young men. There is no doubt that these generals, Abner from Saul’s camp and Joab from David’s camp are operating in the flesh. By the end of the day 404 men will have lost their lives and the battle will continue. Whenever we want to run our own program we will find ourselves with a lot of damage around us, like Jonah. The flesh wars against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh. Which one are you feeding? Instead of my will, I need to pray and act upon God’s will being done in my life.
