Good morning to all and I pray you don’t get whatever I got this last week.

A cough and feeling horrible but it’s getting better. This weekend is going to be tough for the families of those whose loved ones passed. Kage, Alicia, Danny, Terry, Diane Dudek and my old band mate Andy. Pray for these families, and also Toby Keith’s family.

Our devotion today is called, ” People got to be free ” John :36 says, Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. Keeping the law won’t make you free. Remember Jesus in Matthew 11:28-31 told the people to come unto Him and He would give them rest. Drugs and alcohol won’t set you free, I know because I tried. When Jesus said in John 8:36 that the Son will set you free He was speaking of all sin. Sin is what causes people to go to prison, it causes divorce, death, hatred, discontentment, because we are made to worship God and when we are apart from Him we try and fill that emptiness with whatever is available and it doesn’t work. To be free for all that nonsense is the greatest thing that can happen to you and me. People everywhere just want to be free. And there is only one who can set you free and His Name is Jesus. He came all those years ago and went to the cross for you and me and now if we will simply look to Him He will fill that empty void in our life, I know because He did it for Me. If you are going through the valley of life, in other words things are dark and dreary, or even if things are good but you still have that empty feeling inside, look to the one who created you, Psalm 139. He knows you better than you know yourself, and He will set you free.
