Our verse today is, Psalm 1:3 which says, He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. To be a person like this you must delight yourself in the LORD, verse 2. We can be prosperous in so many ways, in music, at your job, in school, college and that’s all good. But how many want to be like a tree planted by the river? To me water always represents the word of God. When you plant yourself by the word of God, like that tree who gets nourished all the time you will become a strong man or woman of God. To plant means you’re staying there through the storms and the heat. Through the good times and the bad, you are planted in good soil and you will bear much fruit because of that. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is in Galatians 5:22-23. That fruit plus seeing living being changed starting with your own. There is nothing better in this life than to be planted like a tree next to a river/river of living water, John 7:38 says, He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. Be refreshed in the Lord today by allowing God to flow through your life.
