Daily Devotion
Shelter me
Good morning everyone,
The older I get, the more I realize how much I need God in my life.
Today’s devotion is called,” Shelter me ” Psalm 91:1 says, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. You put 91:1 together and you have 911. This is the number we call when we have an emergency. It fits so perfectly with what the verse is saying. That if we dwell in the shadow of God Almighty we are as safe as we can be. Would you agree that way too often we run to people when we are in times of trouble. What if there are no people around? I think of Bill Harrison who was 6 days on a raft right after WW2. It was their last day, they knew they couldn’t last another one because they had been on a raft in the middle of the ocean after their ship was sunk in a tornado. Bill said he stood up and began to worship God and within a few minutes he heard the sound of an airplane. They were rescued. I’m going to share a little bit about that tonight in the study. We need to be like Bill on that ocean and look only to God and we will see the help come our way.
Have a blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
