Good morning church.

Today we will finish our study in 2nd Samuel and what a blessing it’s been. Looking at the life of King David, his victories and failures. At the end of this book David makes one final mistake in numbering God’s people, something only God should do. When David sees his error, he makes the choice to fall into the hands of God. Too often we think God is going to do us great harm, when in reality, He wants to show us His great mercy. There will be discipline, but it always draws us to Jesus. At the end of this book we see that David will end up on mount Moriah, right where Jesus was crucified. Amazing! And David will begin to offer up sacrifices to his God. Don’t run from God, run to Him. He’s waiting with arms open wide.

Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
