Good morning church,
Today we will be in Isaiah 22 looking at the prophecy against Jerusalem. Up to this point the destruction has stayed away from the Holy city but now Isaiah prophesies against it. The amazing thing about this is that they had plenty of time to seek God about what was happening but instead they chose to have a party and depend upon their own strength. Isaiah weeps over this vision. It truly wipes him out. It’s one thing when we see destruction from far off, but very different when it comes to our city. As God’s people what should we do when we see this happening? Fast and pray and seek God’s face. 2nd Chron 7:14 keeps coming to mind. We are seeing our own country being destroyed. Let us turn to God with all our hearts and ask like Abraham did with Lot, please spare us!

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
