Our devotion is called, ” The silence of God ” Psalm 83:1 says, Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God! In the book of Hebrews 1:1-2 it says, God who at various times and in various ways spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son. In other words God speaks to us today through His word. If God is silent in our lives we need to pick up our Bible and begin to read and the silence ends. Because God’s word is alive and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thought and intents of the heart, Hebrews 4:12. God can speak to our heart any time and He does but He also will speak to us through His word the Holy Bible. Read it every day and you will be hearing from God every day. No more silence in your life from God. Also, like the book of James says, draw near to God and He will draw near to you James 4:8. The silence of God isn’t something any child of God wants in their life, so read your Bible and let God speak to your heart.
