Good morning church
Today we will look at the beginning of David’s woes and the beginning of his repentance. David has done some bad things and now he has confessed them to the Lord. God has forgiven David, but the damage has been done. The issue is not whether God will forgive us, it’s God’s nature to forgive. But when we sow to the flesh, we will reap. We will see in 2nd Samuel that the sword came upon David’s house, starting with the child dying. You might say, why did the Lord take the child? God brought the child into His presence which was a blessing for the child but a sword to both David and Bathsheba. We see at the end of chapter 12 that David begins to be blessed again. Don’t ever think that God is through with blessing you, but you need to confess your sin and repent.
