Good morning everyone,

Another week has gone by and we are at the end of January 2023 already. We know you have a lot to pray for already but please continue to pray for Eli, Angel, Raymond, Jesse, Marty, Mary, and Leila.

Our devotion today is called, ” Calling on Jesus “. Psalm 145:18 says, The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. Do you want the LORD close to you? And do you know what that means? Having the LORD close to us means there will be conviction in our lives, but it also means that there will be a peace that surpasses all understanding. Psalm 145 is a Psalm of praise. David is praising God because God is near to us. When you love someone and they love you, the desire of our hearts is to be near each other. 1st John 4:19 says, We love Him because He first loved us. Calling on Jesus every day is something we do because we love the Lord and want to be in communion with Him. I don’t just call on Jesus to get things, but I call on Him to be in communion with Him. It’s a love relationship. I talk to my wife every day, I couldn’t imagine going a day without talking to her. Why? Because I love her and I love the Lord so my desire is to call on Him in truth, in other words, truth is the love I have for God. Calling on Jesus every day is the best thing we can do in this life. When you call on Jesus, you never get a busy tone, or an answering machine, or put on call waiting. He is always ready to talk and comfort us, He talks to us through His word and comforts us through His Holy Spirit. Thank you Jesus!
