And so this is Christmas, and what have you done? another year over, a new one just begun. 6 days until Christmas.

Our devotion is called ” Unto us ” Isaiah 9:6 says, For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder, And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of peace. The reason for the season is Jesus. The old testament speaks of His coming to earth years before it happened. Micah 5:2 says, But you Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from old, From everlasting. Jesus came to this earth all those years ago for us, to reach out and to save us from this messed up world. John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but shall have eternal life. At Christmas time when people give more than usual, remember that God gave it all and He gave His Son for us. That you and I could have eternal life with the One who is called, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of peace. The best gift ever given at Christmas is the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. And it was given to us.
