Good day sunshine.

Thank you Lord for what I have and what I don’t.

Our devotion today is called, ” Delivered from destruction ” Psalm 107:19-20 says, Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He saved them out of their destresses. He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destruction. This is speaking of the children of Israel in the wilderness. We are all on a journey in this life heading toward the end. What happens between then and now God only knows. But we are guaranteed trouble and heartache. Job 14:1 says, Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble. The children of Israel were afflicted because of their transgressions and iniquities. In other words, they brought in upon themselves. Even though they were rebellious and stiff-necked God still came to their rescue. I have seen a lot of heartache in my time and so much of it is because we bring it on ourselves, not all the time but a lot of the time. When God delivers us from destruction He really delivers us from ourselves. So often we are our own worst enemy. Maybe that’s why Jesus said in Luke 9:23,If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. Dying to myself saved my life all those years ago. He sent His word and healed me. A word from God Almighty is the most powerful thing that will ever happen to a person. I was delivered from destruction in February of 1985. Next month will be 40 years of living a clean life for Jesus and by that happening my family also received the blessing. Thank you Lord for pulling me up out of a horrible pit and putting my feet upon the Rock. Please continue to pray for everyone we’ve mentioned and target in prayer, Martha’s feet being healed and Kelianne Donna’s niece getting the transplants that she needs.
