Your word comforts me

Good day friends and family and I pray you have a blessed day,

Our devotion today is called, “Your word comforts me” Psalm 119:82 says, My eyes fail from searching Your word, Saying, “When will You comfort me?” We look for comfort in all kinds of ways. Some with money, some drugs or alcohol, some relationships but true comfort comes from God. Jesus called the Holy Spirit our comforter in John 14:26, 15:26 and 16:7. We need comfort because in this world we have so much trouble, John 16:33. When I think of trouble I think of Job and all he went through. The best thing we can do when we are going through the fiery trial is to sit at the LORDS feet and search His word. That is what the Psalmist is doing in this verse, he is reading and asking, when will You comfort me? The verse before this, verse 81 says, My soul faints for Your salvation, But I hope in Your word. The word of God is alive and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart, Hebrews 4:12. God is amazing, His word is amazing. Read it, study it, hide it in your heart and it will bring comfort.

Have a blessed day, thank you for your prayers, Pastor Tom is doing a little better, and always remember that Jesus loves you!
