Good Monday morning to you all. To know the one who is called love is a life changing experience, 1st John 4:8.

Our devotion is called, ” Love is the greatest ” Matthew 5:13-14 says, “You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. I don’t know about you but for me that’s a big pill to swallow. In the day we are living in, it seems like hate is being pushed everywhere you look. People pushing their agendas and wanting to be heard for what they stand for. And a whole lot of this will make you angry if you are a Christian. To hate them is to become like them and that is not what God wants. When Jesus wrote these awesome words the teachings of His word had been distorted horribly but Jesus didn’t hate those people, He went to the cross for them. John 3:16. The easy thing to do is to hate. The right thing to do is to love. And that is what Jesus is saying to do in these verses. My brother pastor Mike Lewis had a saying that said, ” It doesn’t matter what anyone else does, it’s what you do that counts. There will always be something or somebody that rubs us the wrong way. Don’t let it bring out the worst in you, let it bring out the best in you.
