The offense of a friend

Good day to you all from Texas and whoever reads this I pray that your day is blessed.

The devotion today is called, ” The offense of a brother ” Proverbs chapter 18 and verse 19 says, a brother offended is harder to win than a strong city, and contentions are like the bars of a castle. When someone close to you is offended by you it hurts a little bit more. Why? Because we expect a lot more good from those that are closest to us and not bad things. An offense can be something as simple as a lie, unfaithfulness, stealing. Anything that would go against the person that is close to you. When that happens it makes it so hard to restore relationships and trust. Our first reaction will be unbelief and then it will turn to anger which is going to be very hard to cure. It says and contentions are like the bars of a castle. Which says it is very hard to breakthrough but not impossible. As Christians we can forgive. I want to close by reading Luke chapter 6 verses 37 and 38 which says, judge not, And you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you Good measure, Pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. The words of our Lord Jesus are so important because forgiveness is more for us than it is for the person that we are forgiving. It will give us that peace that surpasses all understanding. If there is someone in your life that has done you wrong don’t hold on to it any longer with anger or bitterness or resentfulness but give it to God and forgive.

Have a wonderful blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
