Daily Devotion
Why O why?
I am going to read a poem that I wrote right after Jerick went to be with Jesus. It is called, Why O why? ” Why O why, Do the teardrops start to fall, This pain inside my heart from the memories I recall, A broken and contrite spirit, you say you will accept, but why oh why dear Lord till my last breath. Why 0 Why does this sorrow come in waves, the sun it starts to shine, then goes down in a grave. The things that I remember, I wish I could forget. The pain inside my heart is all that’s left. Why O why my heart will cry till I cannot cry no more, one life gone I carry on towards God’s celestial shore. My prayers they seemed so hopeless, and some don’t seem to care. Why O why dear God it is my prayer. There’ll be sorrow tomorrow as sure as the sunrise, each day can seem so hollow as tears well in my eyes, so as we move toward heaven where we will see you there, why oh why dear God it is my prayer.
PLEASE continue to pray for our family and we know that our great God and Savior will get us through. Have a blessed weekend and always remember that Jesus loves you!
