The title of our devotion today is called, ” Through His death ” Colossians chapter One versus 21 and 22 says, And you, Who were once alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, Yet now He has reconciled. In the body of His flesh through death, To present you holy, And blameless, And above reproach in His sight. And John chapter 12 and verse 24 it says most assuredly, I say to you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, It remains alone; But if it dies, It produces much grain. Through the death of Jesus we have life eternal. And through His death as it says in John chapter 12,24, Many will be made alive. Jesus said in John Chapter 11 and verse 26, Whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? Death and grief are horrible things, But at the same time God uses it to bring forth beautiful things just as a seed going into the ground dies, And from it raises plants or wheat or something that is used to help keep mankind alive. And 1st Corinthians 15 verse 44 says, It is sown a natural body, It is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, And there is a spiritual body. In order for the spiritual body to be raised the physical body must die. When you think about it it makes it just a little bit easier knowing that when our loved ones pass from this life, That it’s not the end of the story. Through His death we have life and we have life eternal and we can all say thank you Jesus.
