Be thankful for what you have and where you are, it makes life a little easier.

Our devotion today is called, ” A Joyful sound ” Psalm 89:15 says, Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk O LORD, in the light of Your countenance. This is speaking of the sound God’s people would hear at a Jewish festival. The music and horns blowing and the fun they have. Today as Christians we have the sound of beautiful worship and the teaching of the word of God. Psalm 16:11 says, You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forever more. There are many sounds out there in the world. Sounds of music, talking, traffic, noise, but the sound of God’s people praising Him, and the sound of someone reading the words from the Bible, are the greatest sounds that we as people will ever hear on God’s green earth. But here it talks of a joyful sound? Who doesn’t want to be joyful? If you are honest you will say you want joy and happiness in your life. If that is what you want, get into the presence of God through worship and the word of God and you will find the peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7. And then the sound of worship and the word will be joy in your heart. And then you will be walking in the light of His countenance. What a great place to be!
