A leap of faith
Happy Wednesday and we will be going live tonight at 8 PM Texas time 6 Cali time, please join us.
” A leap of faith ” Is the title of our devotion today. Hebrews 11:1 says, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The phrase A leap of faith came from a man named Soren Kierkegaard who believed in philosophy centered relationship rather than abstract, objective truths, which we do not believe. But to say a leap of faith is something we all experience when we trust Jesus Christ with our lives and if you are a Mom or Dad with the lives of your family. We begin to pray by faith, read our Bibles by faith, go church by faith. Why? Because something has happened inside of us that will cause us to have that leap of faith. In Hebrews 11:1 the word hope means to expect. We begin to expect God to work in our lives, answer our prayers, be with us. The word substance means confidence. We now put our confidence in Christ and not so much in ourselves. The word faith can mean belief, assurance and that is what happens when we take this leap of faith, we put our faith, substance and hope in Christ because even though there is evidence not seen we know who is holding it all together, Colossians 1:17 which we will look at tonight. The Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God, Hebrews 11:6. If you haven’t had faith in God , or maybe just lately haven’t, then put your faith in Him and you will never regret it.
Have a blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
