” Being led by the Holy Spirit ” Is the title of our devotion today. Galatians 5:18 says, But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. The law is good but we could never keep it. In Galatians 3:24 it says, Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. How would we know right from wrong if God didn’t show us. We all begin to break God’s laws from the time we are little. Those who are led by the Holy Spirit have the law of God written on their hearts, Romans 2:15. Now that we are born again, we desire to do the works of the law, not that that saves us, what saves us is being born again and then the law is written on our hearts. And if we fail, fall short, sin, we have an advocate with the Father. 1st John 2:1 says, My little children; these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. Advocate means a lawyer. We have the best lawyer in the universe, He’s never lost a case! Being led by the Holy Spirit is the best thing that can happen to us.
