Good day my friends. Bless the Lord O my soul, worship His holy name.

Our devotion is called ” Bless the LORD “Psalm 129:8 says, “Neither let those who pass by them say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you; We bless you in the name of the LORD. At harvest time during the time this was written it was customary for men to bless each other in the name of the LORD. As they would pass by the field of the harvesters they would say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you, Ruth 2:4. The psalmist is warning giving a blessing to those who are living ungodly. Nowadays we say things like God bless you. I think we should be careful in saying God bless or be with or take care of when we really don’t know a person and that is what this psalm is saying. Get to know a person before you say something like God bless you because you don’t know what that person might be doing. We bless you, those who know God in the name of the LORD. But we should always pray for those who are living an ungodly life and try our best to be a good example to them. Thank you Jesus for another day and may You be glorified in us, Your people!
