Happy Friday. BEHOLD, bless the LORD, All you servants of the LORD, Who by night stand in the house of the LORD! Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, And bless the LORD. That’s psalm 134:1-2.

Our devotion today is called, ” Blessing God. ” We often ask God to bless us or someone we love and there is nothing wrong with that. But how often do we think about us blessing Him? This psalm is directed to those who took care of the temple. That they would lift up their hands, a sign of prayer, and worship Him as they do the work they are called to do. We bless our God by the things we say, Malachi 3:16, Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, And the LORD listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the LORD. And the things we do, 1st Samuel 15:22, So Samuel said, Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams. If we really want to bless God, we can, by what we do and say. And by doing that, we not only bless our creator, but we are a great example to those around us. Do you want to be a blessing? To your family and then to everyone else? By blessing God we will also bless others. Gayle Irwin had a bumper sticker that said, “Others” and that is what happens when we bless God. Pray for Gayle Irwin’s family, he went home to be with Jesus a few days ago. And thank you for all your prayers.
