Well well well. Freedom of speech is not so free anymore! I am still blocked from going live but I’m gonna try something different this morning or early afternoon and see if it works please pray we can get back live soon.

Our devotion on this Thursday is called, ” Come to Jesus ” Matthew Chapter 11 and verse 28 says, come to Me, all you who Labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. We can get a good night’s rest and still not have rest for our soul! When we are troubled inside for whatever reason it might be, there is only One who can come to the rescue and ease my worried mind. And that is Jesus. Jesus says come to me because too often we run to everything else but Jesus when our backs are against the wall or when we’re going through the troublesome time. Verse 29 Jesus tells us to take His yoke upon us and learn of Him. A yolk is what they would use to go from one Animal to another as they were teaching them to plow a field or whatever it might be. But the idea here is that we would walk with the Lord and He will give us that peace that surpasses all understanding and teach us His ways. I believe heavy laden would mean to be burdened with something and I think we are all burdened with something in this life at some point. In order to take this yoke and be unburdened we must allow God to do His work in our life by submitting to Him. And verse 29 says, you will find rest for your souls and I believe that is what so many people need today, is rest for their soul. Verse 30 Jesus says for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. That is so different from what this world puts upon us and what religion puts upon people! Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.
