Our Devotion on this Friday is called, ” Finding a wife and favor at the same time ” Proverbs chapter 18 and verse 22 says, He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord. To find a wife is a gift from the Lord God and it is not something to be taken lightly. Ephesians Chapter 5 and verse 25 Says to the husbands, husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church, and gave Himself for it. So when we are blessed with a good wife then we are responsible to love her as Christ loved the Church which is a great responsibility. And not only that, but because she is a good wife We will want to take care of her and love her the way the Bible says we should. And the favor of God will be upon us. Charlie Kirk used to tell Young men to find a girl, get married and have a bunch of children. Charlie was given young men great counsel because that’s how we find favor with the Lord. Of course we find favor first by accepting Christ as our Savior but right after that it’s finding a wife and having family and fulfilling what God said in Genesis chapter two to be fruitful and multiply. I found my wife years ago, She has been a blessing to me throughout our life and I thank our Lord and Savior for what he has done. I can say from experience that this verse is true!
