Good day. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and let’s remember the reason for this season. It’s all about Jesus! The title of our devotion today is called,

“From above or below ?”. James 3:13-17 says, Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, Sensual, demonic. For where envy and self seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. What kind of wisdom do you want in your life? The wisdom that is spoken of here in James comes from knowing Jesus Christ and His Word. Any thug can do the first part with all the bitter envy self seeking but it takes a man or a woman of God to do the second part which is pure and peaceable willing to yield. We are living in a day when we, as His children should all really work hard at being the best example we can be to a sick and dying world because that is what we are looking at today, a sick and dying world and the people that are in it are sick and dying. Having the truth in our hearts should cause us to be a light shining. My brother Pastor Mike who is now with Jesus, Used to say, it doesn’t matter what they do, it’s what you do that counts. And it is so true we’re living in a time when we can really make a difference just by being Christ like. Love you all from Texas.
