Good Tuesday morning to you all and here we are on the last day of March already.

The title of our devotion is called, ” Give me counsel so I can stand “. Proverbs Chapter 11 and verse 14 says where there is no council, the people fall: But in the multitude of counselors there is safety. Getting advice is always a good practice when we are heading into something we’re not quite sure about. And the example is from godly men or with godly women. Speaking of Jesus, Isaiah Chapter 9 verse 6 says, for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: And the government will be upon His shoulders. And His name will be called wonderful, Councilor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. The best counsel you will ever get is from the Word of God and to reject that is heading towards a fall. But to accept the counsel of God is to be heading toward safety and be in a safe place. But the Scripture does not just say counsel, it says, in the multitude of counselors! In other words, surround yourself with godly people that will tell you the truth even if it hurts. There are many people that will not want to offend you to keep you as a friend and that is not good. What is good is to have enough people to where you’re going to get the truth over and over and over again when you ask. The key to all this is to be in touch with godly people and that is called fellowship. We all need fellowship and we all need to be accountable as Christian brothers and sisters. Where there is no counsel, The people fall: But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
