Daily Devotion

God forbid

Good Monday morning,

” God forbid ” is the name of our devotion today. Galatians 6:14 says, But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. I think it comes natural for us to brag about things. Whether it’s about us or our kids or if were old enough, our grandkids. Paul says, when it comes to boasting, let it be about what Christ has done, 2nd Corinthians 12:9-10. The word of God is not saying we can’t boast on things we’ve accomplished but we should, at the same time, give glory to God and all He has done for us. If I have become dead to this world and alive in Christ, then everything I do reflects a loving and forgiving God who came and laid down His life for me. It’s as simple as saying praise God when you are complimented for something. God forbid that I should take an ounce of credit for any good thing!

Rise and shine and give God the glory, children of the King.
