Good and happy Memorial Day. First of all I want to thank all of our soldiers and their families for their sacrifice and their service.

Our devotion on this Memorial Day Monday is called, ” Good soldier ” 2nd Timothy Chapter Two and verse three says you therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. I admire the men and women who have served our country and then come home and become police officers and continue to serve and protect. They are definitely a breed of their own and we thank them from the bottom of our heart. In this verse it is speaking of soldiers for Jesus. A soldier for Jesus fights a different fight! a fight against spiritual evil that sometimes you can see and sometimes you can’t. It’s a fight that is won on our knees and through the study of God’s word and through prayer. I want to thank God for every soldier that has fought the good fight of faith, I Timothy 6 verse 12. They too are worthy of honor and praise! but the greatest soldier that ever lived on this planet is the Lord Jesus Christ. Who came to this earth and lived a perfect life was crucified for our sin and rose on the 3rd day to defeat the enemy! And the enemy is defeated! It’s just a matter of time for him to be thrown down into hell. So last but not least I want to thank our Lord Jesus Christ for coming to this planet and doing what no other person could do and that was to take the sin of the world. He is the greatest soldier to ever set foot on planet earth! Thank you Jesus!
