The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.

Our devotion is called, ” In His shadow ” Psalm 91:1 says, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Everyone has their dwelling places. Even a homeless person has a place where they go at night. Wherever we may dwell, we all want security from harm and the greatest security system you can have is being under the shadow of the Almighty. Today many high profile people have security all around them. And even with that security some get shot and unfortunately some may get killed. But whether we live or die, to be so close to God that we are in His shadow is the best place to be. Even at death we can be so close to God that we don’t have to travel far when it happens. To dwell in the secret place of the Most High is the safest place anyone could be on earth. With security cameras, security guards, bars on windows, security dogs and all the rest, bad things still happen. To have God Almighty as our security guard is the smartest thing we could do. He is all knowing, Psalm 139:2, He is all seeing, Proverbs 5:21, And He is all powerful, Psalm 115:3. In His shadow we are as safe as we can be!
