Happy Friday to all of you and let’s pray for all affected by the fires and all we’ve mentioned that are going through the fiery trials. Lord help us.

Our devotion today is called, ” Jesus calms the storm ” Psalm 107:29-30 says, He calms the storm so that its waves are still. Then they are glad because they are quiet; So He guides them to their desired haven. As I read this I thought of Jesus calming the storm on the sea of Galilee. In Matthew 8:26, While the storm was raging Jesus tells His disciples, Why are you fearful, O you of little faith? When we were in Israel we went on this sea with David Hocking and some others and once we were out there David shared this story of how storms come up all at once and you will find yourself holding on for dear life. Isn’t that a picture of life? We have no idea what tomorrow brings. The morning can start off great and by afternoon all hell can break loose. But who is able to calm the storm? It is the Sunday school answer, Jesus! As I read Psalm 107:29-30 I realize He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, Hebrews 13:8. The same God that calmed the storm in psalms is the same God that calmed the storm in Matthew and He is the same God who will calm the storm today. He will calm the storm, make you glad and guide you to the right place. He is able, Ephesians 3:20 and willing. Thank you Jesus.
