Happy Friday and I pray we all have a blessed weekend.

The devotion on this Friday is called,” Knit together in love ” Colossians chapter Two verses one through three says, for I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you, and those in Laodicea and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh. That their hearts may be encouraged, Being knit together in love and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding to the knowledge of the mystery of God, Both of the Father and of Christ. In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. So in verse one what is the conflict? There was false teaching going around and there were schisms and problems just like in the church today and Paul struggled with this. His desire just like any desire of a born again Christian is that we would all be knit together in love, And that we would be truthful with each other. If someone is going in the wrong direction, we would try to bring them back. Jesus said in John chapter 13 and verse 35, By this all will know that you are my disciples If you have love one for another. Paul truly loved those in Laodicea. And by loving each other verse two says that the hearts will be encouraged and they will attain to all riches of the full assurance of understanding. This happens by studying the word and loving one another that you get a better understanding of God. Sometimes the walk in Christ is easy and sometimes the walk in Christ gets hard. Whether it is easy or tough we should love one another and care for each other. How can we tell if we have this kind of love? 1st Corinthians 13 verse four through eight gives a description. Love suffers long and is kind, Love does not envy, Love does not parade itself, It’s not puffed up, Verse 5 does not behave rudely, Does not seek its own, Is not provoked, Thinks no evil, Verse 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, But rejoices in truth. Verse 7 Love bears all things, Believes all things, Hopes all things, Endures all things. Verse 8 love never fails. It would be a good practice to work on 1 Corinthians Chapter 13.
