Good day to you all from the great state of Texas and thank you to those that came on my live feed on Youtube last night at Pastor Mark 3580 you guys were definitely a blessing.

” Let’s put on these ” Is the title of our devotion today. Colossians Chapter Three verses 12 through 14 says, Therefore, As the elect of God, Holy and beloved, Put on tender mercies, Kindness, Humility, Meekness, Long suffering; Bearing with one another, And forgiving one another, If anyone has a complaint against another; Even as Christ forgave you, So you also must do. But above all these things put on love, Which is the bond of perfection. There used to be a saying years ago that would say it’s a put on, The band The Who wrote a song with that line in it over and over. To be a put on in that sense is to be a fake. When it says to put on all these different things in verses 13-15 It’s a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ, Which is just the opposite. How can I put on all these things that are mentioned? By being filled with the Holy Spirit of God and that means you will fulfill Galatians chapter 5 Verses 22 and 23,or at least try to. I think of the Apostle Paul before Christ came into his life and how angry and mean he was. He would go looking for Christians so he could make their lives miserable and kill them. Then one day on the road to Damascus he met Jesus and his life changed drastically. He began to get beat up for his belief. He began to search for the truth of God’s Word and share that with the people whom he once persecuted. He finally went to his death preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Most of us don’t have that radical of a transformation but we do have a transformation that says, I don’t do those things any longer. I am following Jesus and I want to serve him for the rest of my life. These things mentioned in verses 12 through 14 are all good for us and good for those around us. The one verse that sticks out to me is verse 13 bearing with one another. Sometimes even as Christians we can be unbearable but let’s do unto others as we would have them do unto us, Matthew Chapter 7 and verse 12 Jesus said, Therefore, Whatever you want men to do to you, Do also to them, For this is the law and the prophets. Let’s try our best to do as Jesus commanded! Let’s treat Everybody with love and respect!
