Good day to you all from the great state of Texas and we would like to thank everybody for all their prayers.

Our Devotion on this Tuesday is called, ” Love your enemies ” Proverbs Chapter 25 verses 21 and 22 says, if your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; For so you will heap coals of fire on his head, and the Lord will reward you. Jesus said the same thing in Matthew chapter 5 verses 43 and 44, He said, you have heard that it was said, you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, verse 45 says that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; For He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. We are called as God’s people to love and not to say rude things to people when we disagree with them. But to love them and to preach the truth in love. That is how we will be able to win people over to Christ, is through the love of God. When it talks about heaping coals of fire on their head, it does not mean to hurt them, it actually means to comfort them. The same comment is used in Romans chapter 12 in verse 20, Paul quotes this. In the days that this was written they would put something like a wreath on their head and put coals inside and and it would be hot coals and it would actually send warmth down over the body. So what is being said is that we would bring comfort to people by blessing them when they are being bad towards us. After all that is what Jesus did throughout His lifetime to the very end when He was on the cross and He looked up to heaven and said Father forgive them for they know not what they do. Mark Chapter 10 at verse 27 says, with men it is impossible, but not with God; For with God all things are possible.
