Joy to the world the Lord has come, let earth receive her King. Good morning from Texas.

Our devotion today is called, ” Make room for Jesus ” Luke 2:7 says, And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the Inn. Firstborn says Jesus had brothers and sisters and we read about that in Matthew 13:55-56. Also Jesus was born into a family that was mixed like so many people today because His brothers and sisters were half brothers and sisters because Joseph wasn’t His biological father. With all that said, at the birth of Jesus there was no room for them at the Inn. The Inn was a large fenced in place that was a circle. Along the wall were little hut’s with no roof and in the middle was a fire burning. There was one entrance and exit. But even that wasn’t available to this little family. So Jesus was born in a place where they kept animal’s. You could say this little family was like so many families who can’t afford an expensive doctor and had to take what they could get. And yet this little child is the King of kings and will fulfill all the prophecies of the old testament, over 300 of them. Let’s not be like the keeper at the Inn and say we don’t have room for Jesus in our lives but let’s invite Him into our Christmas festivities and be thanking Him for the things we have because He is the one who gave them to us. Two days until Christmas, the birth of our Savior. This is definitely one of the greatest events in the history of mankind. Let’s celebrate Jesus. Pray for pastor Tom and Patty, Dennis and Martha, Donna’s niece, and now also pray for Roger and Amy Lewis, Roger had a stroke last night. Pray for healing.
