My God
Good day to you all and today is what we call Good Friday the day that Jesus went to the cross for you and I.
“My God” Is the title of our devotion today. Matthew Chapter 27 and Verse 46 says, My God my God, Why have you forsaken me? On this day millions of Christians will celebrate Good Friday and what our Lord did on this day by going to the cross for us. During all the scourging and beating it never says that Jesus cried out but once the sin of the world was laid upon Him He cried my God my God why have you forsaken Me. The Bible teaches in Second Corinthians chapter 5 and verse 21, for He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Why did Jesus cry out My God my God why have you forsaken me? Because He had never known separation from His Father and sin separates us from God, Isaiah 59:1-2. And Jesus not only took the pain and the shame and the suffering but He also was separated from His Father for that short time while the sin of the world was being placed upon Him! Past, present and future sin! If we His people could just get a glimpse of what Christ did on this day all those years ago I believe it would bring us to our knees. And that He bears those scars for eternity! And I’m sure we can all say thank you dear Lord for what you have done for us and we will praise you for eternity!
Have a blessed resurrection weekend and be thanking our great God and Savior for what He has done! And always remember that Jesus loves you!
