Our devotion today is called, ” Oh how He loves us ” 1st John 4:10 says, In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. There is a song from years ago called, more than words. It is so true that love is more than words. To say I love you is an easy thing to do but to live I love you takes some effort. Love is sacrifice, and to put it all in one Chapter, 1st Corinthians 13 describes love very well. If you want to know what love is, like the song by Foreigner, look to the person of God. John 3:16 and here in 1st John it tells us just how much God loves us. 1st John 4:8 says, God is love. That’s as clear as you can get. The first fruit of the Holy Spirit in Galatians 5 is love. Love is beautiful when it’s real and God is real. Oh how he loves us. Did God prove His love to us? Yes He did, He made a way through Jesus for all mankind to get to heaven and you have to accept that love and you will begin a relationship with the creator of the universe. Meditate on that this weekend and you will be blessed.
