Put a lid on it
Good morning or afternoon or evening to you all. We are almost half way through 2025, time is going by so fast.
Our devotion for this day 5/15/25 is called,” Put a lid on it ” Psalm 141:3 says, Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips. It is so easy to say the wrong things, especially when we are angry. The Bible says in Proverbs 10:19, In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise. The Bible also says in James 3:8, But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. No man can tame it, but God sure can. I remember when I was first saved how many swear words I used and the Holy Spirit stopped it and little by little got ahold of my poisonous tongue. Mark 10:27 says, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
