Daily Devotion
Salt and light
Good morning, noon or night to you on this Wednesday. I will be going live tonight at 6:00 PM California time, 8:00 PM Texas Time at pastor mark 3580 on Youtube. We will be in Acts Chapter 9.
Our devotion today is called, ” Salt and Light ‘ Proverbs chapter 24 verse 23 through 25 says, These things also belong to the wise: It is not good to show partiality in judgment, he who says to the wicked, you are righteous, Him the people will curse; Nations will abhor him. But those who rebuke the wicked will have delight, and a good blessing will come upon them. A child of God or a wise person will show righteous judgment and that is in 1st Corinthians chapter two verse 15 that the spiritual person judges all things. That means to examine right or wrong. To show partiality means that you are judging incorrectly because of your relationship or your love for a certain person and you could take this into the family with our children. And it goes on to say we shouldn’t call a wicked person righteous or right. I look at this and think of children when they act up and do ugly and bad things and parents think it’s funny when it is not. But we see it in today’s society also people calling good evil and evil good. Rebuking the wicked is something that is missing quite a bit in today’s society because we don’t want to offend anybody. But here it says if you rebuke the wicked you will have delight. And a good blessing will come upon you. We are living in a time when there is so much wickedness all around us you’d almost have to be rebuking continually but when we see it and it’s in our face then I believe it is up to us to rebuke the wickedness that we see. This scripture says that these things belonged to the wise. Don’t be afraid to be salt and light in this dark an ugly world that we’re living in right now! Matthew 5:13-14. You are the salt of the earth but if the salt loses its flavor, How shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Let’s let our voices be heard in these last days.
Have a blessed day. Thank you for all your prayers. We still need them And always remember that Jesus loves you!
