Good Monday morning to everyone and I have some good news. My Son Joe James has written a book and it is called I shouldn’t Be Here and you can order it on Amazon. I’m in chapter three reading it right now and some parts are hard to take in and some are total blessings.

The title of our devotion today is called, ” Seasoned with salt ” Colossians chapter 4 and verse 6 says, Let your speech always be with grace, Seasoned with salt, That you may know how you ought to answer each one. When I think of somebody answering like this I think of Jesus and how he would respond to people and how his answers were always just perfect. I think of when He met Peter on the shore of Galilee after he had risen from the dead in John chapter 21 and how He responded to Peter in a way that was just full grace of love. Peter had denied Him did the wrong things but all the Lord asked him was, Do you love me? And even though Peter failed, the Lord commands him to feed his sheep. I think of my son in law Jerek James Foster and how he always had a good word every time he was around and I sure miss that young man. My son Joseph is the same way. Almost every time we talk it’s so encouraging and it lifts my spirit. There’s something about salt that makes food taste just a little bit better. I can’t have too much because I have high blood pressure but it sure is good. And also it’s a preservative and that’s how we should be with our speech to preserve and not hurt to heal and not open wounds. The church where we are at now. The pastor asked everyone to fast on Tuesday and I would ask everybody that reads this if you can also. Fast on Tuesday for the election coming up because this is so important it is a life and death situation for our country.

I love you all, thank you for the prayers and always remember that Jesus loves you!
