Happy 1st Friday of 2026.

” Seeing is believing ? ” Is the title of our devotion today. Matthew chapter 12 at verse 36 says, but He answered and said to them, an evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, And no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. Jesus was speaking to the religious leaders of his time . I am so glad that Jesus said this because we are living in a time where there is a lot of smoke and mirrors. There is so much deception on social media and television that looks authentic, it looks real, but it is not. When the devil does show up on the scene, called the man of sin, 2nd Thessalonians 2:3. He will do great signs and wonders and ’cause many to believe that he is the Messiah. Jesus said in John chapter 5 there is one coming in his own name Him you will receive, John 5:43. Jesus was speaking of the devil Incarnate. What we need to believe in is Jesus and his Word. If we study and read His word we will not be easily tricked by the smoke and mirrors of this world and there is plenty of it going on today. Doubting Thomas said he would not believe unless he saw Jesus. When he saw Jesus he said my Lord and my God, And then Jesus said Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe, John 20:29. Believing in Jesus is what we need in this crazy world and that will lead us into the study of the truth!
