Howdy and thank you Jesus for another day.

” Talk this way ” Is the title of our devotion today. Colossians 4:6 says, Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. God is clear in His word that there are certain things He wants us to stay away from. Like the nursery song, Be careful little eyes what you see, be careful little ears what you hear and it should add be careful everyone what you say. The old saying, lose lips sink ships is still true today. Colossians 4:6 talks about our speech being with grace? The word grace means graciousness, that we would be gracious toward mankind with what we say. And with salt. Salt is a preservative and the way we talk should preserve not destroy. Salt also makes our food taste better. How we talk should be tasteful not distasteful to those around us. The main thing is, this will be pleasing to God because God says to talk this way. And you know that this will also cause you to live peaceably with everyone, Romans 12:18. If you gossip or have a habit of cussing, ask God to help you, that is what I did and He gets the glory for cleaning up my cesspool of a mouth. I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back.
