Our devotion today is called, ” taught by God ” Psalm 119: 33 says, Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes, And I shall keep it to the end. Learning about God takes time and effort. We learn so much throughout life. How to read and write, learn a trade and sometimes a hobby. We learn these things by practicing whatever it is we are learning. 1st John 2:29 says, If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him. Practicing righteousness is learning the things of God. Whether it’s learning His word by studying or learning patience through trials or learning obedience through the chastening of the Lord, if we are His child we will be being taught in some way by God. When I am taught by God, I become a better person, I learn to be more like Christ, and I do my best to follow Jesus. I’ve noticed the closer someone follows another the more that person knows about the person they are following and they often imitate that person. Paul wrote in 1st Corinthians 11:1, Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ. Being taught by God is by being close to Him by the study of His word, obedience to it, and growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Amen! Please continue to pray pray pray. We will be flying to California March 5th so there will be no going live March 5th or the 12th. I am also taking the week off from devotions. Love you all from Texas.
