” The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree ” is the title of our devotion. Psalm 128:1-3 says, BLESSED is everyone who fears the LORD, Who walks in His ways. When you eat the labor of your hands, You shall be happy, and it shall be well with you. Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table. When the olive plant has babies they grow up to look just like the mother and it can take up to 40 years for that to happen. Proverbs 22:6 says, Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he or she is old he won’t depart from it. When everything’s in it’s proper place at home, the husband working and the wife training the children along with the husband. Children will grow up to be awesome people. Like the title, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. There are exceptions but the rule is Proverbs 22:6. I know because I’ve watched it with my own children. And by the way it’s never too late to be a light shining to your kids. Tell them the truth in love!
