This is the day the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Today’s devotion is called, ” The chief cornerstone ” Psalm 118:22-24 says, The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the LORD’S doing; It is marvelous in our eyes, This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.. These verses speak of Jesus. This also speaks of the O.T. Temple when it was being built. When it was completed the chief cornerstone was missing. Someone had thrown it away and they found it and finished the work. Just as Israel threw away their Messiah but He rose on the third day. Jesus spoke of this cornerstone in Matthew 21:42. That is why we can say, This is the day the LORD has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. This was the LORD’S doing; It is marvelous in our eyes. Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe, sin had left a scarlet stain, He washed it white as snow. Thank you Jesus.
