My strength is in Your name, For You alone can save, You will deliver me, Yours is the victory, Whom shall i fear?

Our devotion today is called, ” The great escape ” Psalm 124:7-8 says, Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. I remember years ago when I was trying to stop drinking alcohol and using drugs and I just couldn’t. I even had a bet with someone that I could go without it for two weeks and I lost. I was mad so I didn’t pay him. But when God came into my life, I was able because He is able, Ephesians 3:20. I haven’t allowed drugs or alcohol to rule my life in 40 years, that’s a long long time. Whatever we may need to escape from and I use the word escape because things like drugs, alcohol, anger, lying, immoral sex, stealing and all the rest can hold us captive. The great escape comes through Jesus Christ who overcame everything, 2nd Corinthians 5:21, For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us: that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. If we look to the overcomer we can be overcomers also. Our help is in the name of the LORD who made heaven and earth.
