Our devotion on this Friday is called, ” The wanderer ” Proverbs chapter 21 and verse 16 says, a man who wanders from the way of understanding will rest in the assembly of the dead. I’ve seen many people wander into the unknown and some make it back and some don’t. When we go into those dark places in life Which include staying out till two in the morning drinking, Drugs, hanging out with people you don’t know and on and on You end up in a very dangerous place. Sometimes I’ll watch crime shows and it seems that those people that are murdered usually happen in the early morning hours. God never intended for us to wander aimlessly through this life hoping that something turns out right. God intended for us to find the right person to get married and have a family. When that happens you’ll find you are the most blessed person in the world. But the devil would have us think that going out and partying and sleeping with whoever crosses our path is the high life when actually it’s the lowlife. Don’t be a wanderer, Because too often it leads to a horrible life. Let Jesus be the anchor of your soul, Hebrews Chapter 6 verse 19 says, this hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the presence behind the veil. This verse is speaking about Jesus and when we come to Him He will be our anchor to stop us from floating aimlessly on the sea of life!
