To those who mourn

Happy Friday to all our friends and family.

Our devotion today is called, ” To those who mourn ” Matthew 5:4 says, Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. How can we be blessed and comforted at the same time? It is only by the power of the Holy Spirit. God knows what it’s like to grieve! The Father gave His only Son and the Son knows what it’s like. Philippians 3:10 says, that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death. As a believer in Jesus our suffering is never in vain, it is working in us the ability to be the people God wants us to be. And that is not just for us but for others, 2nd Corinthians 1:3-4. We are blessed to be allowed to go through some of what Jesus did for the purpose of glorifying God. For those who mourn, God is working in you to glorify Him.

Have a blessed weekend, pray for pastor Tom Duane and Patty for a safe trip to Arkansas, and always remember that Jesus loves you!
