” Weeping for a moment, but joy for eternity ” is the Title of our message. Psalm 30:5 says, For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning. According to Isaiah 53:3, Jesus was despised and rejected by men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief, And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised and we did not esteem Him. Why is it that Jesus was despised and lived such a hard ;life? John 1:12 says, He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. His word says, let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus, Philippians 2:5 and read verses 6-8. Christ went through it because He went against the ways of this world. His life was set aside for doing the work of His Father. And because He did not bow down to the system, He was crucified, and fulfilled God’s plan of salvation. God has a plan for you and I and because He does it doesn’t mean that the road will be smooth, in fact it means it just might be rough and cause division, Luke 13:51-53. We will go through times of weeping and hurt and pain in this old world, but joy is promised from our Lord, Psalm 16:11.
